New Leaf Capital, a fund of funds management company in the cleantech sector is looking to raise between $400 million and $500 million.
The investment focus will be 70 oer cent renewable energy and 30% cleantech and the funds are expected to be raised in two tranches in 2009 and 2010.
Ian Wilson , CEO, New Leaf, said, ‘Renewable energy and cleantech is a growth area and there is increasing consumer demand within the European space. The returns are already significant and will continue to be more significant as the credit crunch continues.’
The company recently appointed Jon Bailie as chairman of its board of advisors.
